Robert Lewandowski met Anna Stachurska in 2007 in Masuria. Their first meeting took place during an integration camp for students of a physical education academy. The footballer managed to get there for just one day. "I remember seeing a beautiful blonde... Ania has changed a bit over the years (laughter). Of course, for the better. She's grown up. Me too," "Lewy" recalled in 2014 in "Viva!". Lewandowski once confessed that he introduced himself to Stachurska as Andrzej because he assumed she wouldn't remember his name anyway. He was wrong, however.

Robert was surprised when he found out that Anna was a karate competitor (during her sports career she won 38 medals – 29 at the Polish Championships, six at the European Championships and three at the World Championships). "Robert thought I played tennis or danced ballet. When he found out I practiced karate, he didn't believe it at first," Lewandowska said years ago in an interview for "Viva!".

Anna Lewandowska has often mentioned that she needed time to trust the footballer and give him a chance. "It wasn't love at first sight. We were connected by sport, and it seemed to me that Robert wasn't for me. But he told me at the beginning of our relationship: give yourself a chance to meet a guy you've never met. I thought it was a good joke. But seriously, that sentence stayed with me... And that's how it all started," she said in 2018 in "Coaching" magazine.

When Robert Lewandowski exchanged Znicz Pruszków for Lech Poznań, he suggested that the girl leave with him. Due to her studies and training, Anna Stachurska commuted between Warsaw and Poznań. In 2010, their lives turned upside down. "Lewy" then signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund.

"It was a shock, a total upheaval. I, a simple girl, felt like that, should I live abroad now? My mother warned me: 'You don't even have a ring on your finger'. Robert never talked about the future [...]" - she recalled in an interview that appeared in the book "Imperium Lewandowska" written by Monika Sobień-Górska. "Robert moved to Dortmund. I was shuttling back and forth. I would go to clean his house, cook something and then I would immediately return to Warsaw because of training [...]" - Lewandowska said.

In 2011, the couple got engaged. Anna had no idea that her beloved would ask her to marry him during a vacation in the Maldives. As she once confessed to fans, he proposed to her "by surprise, on an island, in the water." The karate player almost ruined the footballer's plans, as the couple themselves told in the documentary "Lewandowski — Unknown" for Amazon Prime Video. "Do you remember the boat? You wanted to take me on a boat that cost $300. No, even less. I preferred to choose a catamaran for $50," Lewandowska asked her husband. "You wanted to ruin my whole plan to sail to a deserted island, to propose: "Nooo, let's sail on a catamaran, where everyone else is," "Lewy" responded.

On June 22, 2013, the Lewandowskis stood down the aisle, which was widely reported in the Polish media for a long time. The ceremony took place in the Church of St. Anne in Serock, while the wedding was organized in the Dwór Złotopolska Dolina in Trębki Nowe. Among the guests were Wojciech Szczęsny, Dariusz Dudka, Grzegorz Wojtkowiak and Cezary Pazura. The groom's best man was Sławomir Peszko. "The wedding preparations are buttoned up. I know what the duties and tasks of a best man are and I will definitely manage. Anna Lewandowska walked down the aisle in a wedding dress designed by Maciej Zień. The sportswoman opted for an existing pattern of the creation, which was modified according to her requests. "Ania wanted an open back. During the first fittings, we came up with additional petticoats," the designer revealed in "Pytanie na śniadanie". Robert Lewandowski presented himself in a black tuxedo suit with silk elements on this special day.

In June 2023, the couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Less than a month later, they surprised their fans with the news that they had renewed their wedding vows in Tuscany. They managed to organize the event in secret from the media.

They spent this special time with family and friends. Anna and Robert Lewandowski have two daughters - Klara was born in May 2017, and Laura was born three years later. The personal trainer's pregnancies and the births of the girls were widely covered in the media. It is no secret that the first labor was very difficult and lasted 28 hours, while the second one was lightning fast - "Lewy's" wife gave birth in less than half an hour.

The Lewandowskis have often mentioned that the birth of their first daughter changed them a lot. Robert began to open up more to the world, and Anna learned patience, among other things. It also strengthened the parents' relationship. "I didn't realize that a child could unite two people even more. Klara brought out enormous reserves of love in us, strengthened our feelings, and now we are even stronger. The bond between mother and daughter is inimitable, the most beautiful necklace a woman has is a child's hands, but the bond between a daughter and her father is also extraordinary and deep," Lewandowska revealed in "Wywiadówka" on her now-defunct Baby by Ann portal.

After the birth of her daughters, Anna stopped hiding her sensitivity. "I've been crying a lot since I gave birth. I've been moved very quickly lately. I know it would seem that I'm sitting in a shell, karate, then kickboxing. I like boxing, I'm good at boxing, that's a fact. I like being that badass. I like it when guys admire me in men's sports. But... I get emotional and moved so quickly. I'm so moved by some of the wrongs done to other people..." she confessed in 2024 in an interview with Agnieszka Hyży on "Halo tu Polsat".

Shortly after the birth of his second child, Robert Lewandowski told "Fakty po Faktach" what it's like to be a double dad. "The happiness hormone is rising even more. Two children, two daughters at home... the pride is definitely growing. [...] Children are growing up, you see that you have an influence on the people you love and who are with you. You enjoy their happiness and smiles every day. This is a great incentive and motivation not only in your private life, but above all in your professional life. It gives you a kick to work even harder," he said in June 2020.

The older girl has loved sports since she was a child. When she was three, "Lewy" confessed that sometimes she dragged her parents to the gym. Anna recently revealed that Klara is her reflection. "She has a lot of ambition, sometimes too much," she said in an interview for "Elle." Some time ago, the personal trainer signed her older daughter up for gymnastics lessons. "Klara wants to go to these classes, but there are weeks when she says she's tired. And that's great, because before she couldn't let go. And now she can say she needs a break," she said.

The younger of the girls, Laura, was initially completely different from her older sister, but recently this has begun to change. Robert Lewandowski mentioned this in February 2025 in an interview for the weekly "Piłka Nożna". The footballer was then asked whether, taking into account sports genes, he felt that his children would be athletes. "The older one undoubtedly has this sports gene, the younger one is starting to have it, although she didn't at first. I won't push it. I know it will be harder for them, but I will help if I see that they want to," the FC Barcelona striker announced.

Three years ago, Anna Lewandowska revealed that she was once asked how to raise children in a wealthy home. - When my husband and I thought about it, I think that we have our feet firmly on the ground. The important things that we allow ourselves to do are travel and spending time together. I won't hide it, I like to look nice, I like to buy myself something nice. We work for it. However, it is not the most important thing in our lives. It is not the most important thing that material things are a priority. Certainly not. And they are certainly not important for girls. My children wear tracksuits, sometimes they are "filthy", dirty, they are happy, like everyone else. Sometimes there is a stereotype that if someone has money, then these children must sit on a golden couch. No. Especially not in such a sports family. You have to find your way around it, but we will definitely want the girls to respect people and to respect money and other things. I can already see that my husband would like our children to know that you have to earn something, you have to try hard for something, that money does not come from an ATM - she said in "City of Women".

Anna and Robert Lewandowski lived in Germany for years, but in 2022, when the footballer signed a contract with FC Barcelona, ​​the whole family moved to Spain. Although it was not easy at first, they quickly acclimatized to the new place. "In Barcelona itself, we live very well. The children go to school, they are very happy. The world of football heats up the entire city and not only the city. Life is great," said Anna Lewandowska in April 2025 in an interview for TVP Sport.

The Lewandowskis settled in the town of Castelldefels on the outskirts of Barcelona. They rented a modern property from former Pride of Catalonia footballer Marc Batra. Last year, Catalan media reported that "Lewy" had bought a house in the much quieter Garraf, where he reportedly plans to move with his family after renovation.

In a recent interview with "Elle", Anna Lewandowska revealed that living in Catalonia gave her courage. "Robert and I are different. He is focused on one goal, I am on a hundred smaller ones. He is an introvert, I am an extrovert. He likes being at home, and I love people, I enjoy the beach, life by the sea. And it is here, in Barcelona, ​​that we have found balance - all these differences between us can be reconciled, no one has to give up what is important to them. This is definitely my place on earth," emphasized Anna Lewandowska.

Anna and Robert Lewandowski support each other very much and, as they say, are each other's best friends. "Lewy" has often emphasized that he would not have made it this far without his beloved.

Today, Anna Lewandowska is a personal trainer and businesswoman. She has several companies in Poland, and last year she also started a business in Spain — she created a multi-boutique studio in Barcelona. "Lewy" was also present at the grand opening of Edan Studios, surprising his wife with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. When he says once: "I am proud of you" it really means a lot - she added.

The Lewandowskis are considered the most popular sports couple in Poland. We have often seen them at events in the spotlight. The couple immediately attract attention wherever they appear.

The Lewandowskis have amassed a gigantic fortune. In 2024, they were ranked 97th on the list of 100 richest Poles according to "Wprost". The weekly estimated their joint fortune at PLN 723 million. This amount also gave them eighth place on the list of 40 richest Poles under the age of 40.

It is no secret that years ago, their homes were not overflowing. "Neither Robert nor I had an easy childhood. My mother raised me and my brother by herself, because my father left us when we were little. I took up sports, probably as an escape from trouble. Robert also worked his whole life for his successes," Anna Lewandowska said in "Gala".

"We started our life together, earning 1,200 PLN each. I drove a Fiat Bravo, Ania a Matiz. Sometimes we recall the time when we lived in a council flat. We remember how happy we were, even though cockroaches sometimes ran around the kitchen. What a journey we have travelled, how much sacrifice and work it has cost us to be where we are today," said Robert Lewandowski in 2019 in Przegląd Sportowy Onet.

Anna Lewandowska also touched on the subject of work and money in a conversation with Monika Sobień-Górska. "I believe that every woman, if she has the opportunity, should work, have her own money, her own space. I want to be independent, have achievements, my own world. Life writes different scenarios. You know, my mother quit her job one day because my father earned very well and said that he didn't have to work, let him take care of the house. And what?" — she emphasized.
